Nick Amster, Inc. is seeking a Program Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Day Service and Home and Community-Based Services (HPC) programs. This leadership position is responsible for managing and supervising staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. The Program Manager will focus on program delivery, staff development, compliance, and the safety and well-being of the individuals served.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

  • Lead the daily operations of the Day Service and HPC programs, ensuring smooth, efficient functioning.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive environment for both individuals and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, Medicaid guidelines, and state regulations.
  • Prepare necessary reports, audits, and documentation, ensuring timely completion.

Staff Management & Training:

  • Supervise, train, and support staff, addressing performance issues as needed.
  • Create and manage staff schedules and handle time-off requests, ensuring adequate coverage.
  • Oversee the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new staff, ensuring CEUs are completed on time.

Individual Care & Compliance:

  • Complete all Work Investment Opportunity Act (WIOA) requirements and oversee Major Unusual Incidents (MUI/UI).
  • Manage communication with SSAs, guardians, and other stakeholders to ensure the needs of individuals are met.
  • Ensure timely documentation and accurate record-keeping for participant services.
  • Manage the Individual Service Plans and ensure they are completed to Nick Amster, Inc. standards

HPC Program Management:

  • Coordinate appointment scheduling and resource management for the HPC program.
  • Maintain communication with families and ensure consistency in the program.
  • Coordinate staffing for HPC services.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in managing programs for individuals with developmental disabilities or in other care services.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Certifications: CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

Position Overview
We are looking for a reliable and caring Community Engagement Specialist to assist adults with developmental disabilities in leading fulfilling and independent lives. In this role, you will provide hands-on support, encourage personal growth, and help individuals work toward their personal and vocational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver support services based on each individual’s personalized care plan
  • Assist with daily living tasks such as bath rooming, meals, and mobility
  • Encourage participation in community involvement, volunteer work, and skill-building or employment-related activities
  • Provide safe and reliable transportation to the program, volunteering, outings, and Group Employment opportunities
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
  • Promote respect, choice, and independence while advocating for each individual’s needs and preferences

Qualifications

  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members
  • Comfortable working in an environment with changing needs
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities
  • Ability to follow directions carefully and adhere to established procedures
  • Driver’s license and auto insurance is required.
